SUPERIOR CORROSION RESISTANCE

Galvanized Fabric – Available in various levels of zinc coating, our galvanized chain link provides superior protection against failure due to rust or corrosion. Chain Link Fabric was originally developed to provide a product with superior corrosion resistance to withstand salt air conditions in coastal areas. All of our fabrics are manufactured with a hi-tensile wire that has been galvanized before weaving (GBW) using a state-of-the-art gas-wipe process to ensure the zinc coating is uniformly bonded to our wire. This process delivers an exceptionally smooth finish with a consistent zinc coating throughout. In contrast, fabrics that are galvanized after weaving (GAW), contain globs of zinc or “needle points,” created as the molten zinc dries while being removed from the tank. These sharp needles often result in injuries and torn clothing for children. Furthermore, GAW fabrics often contain missed spots where the zinc has failed to coat the entire wire surface area. This is most prevalent at junctions where the wire crosses the wire. Once erected, the raw steel is exposed and corrosion begins immediately.

VINYL COATED FABRIC

Our vinyl-coated fabrics are produced with galvanized wire that has been run through an extruder to apply a thick coating of heavy mill PVC (vinyl) for the ultimate in strength and corrosion resistance. Maintenance-free and long service life should be of utmost importance in your design engineering. We use plasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with low-temperature (-30) plasticizers, no fillers, extenders, or extraneous matter other than the necessary stabilizers and pigments. Our vinyl-coated fabric is available in four UV-stabilized colours (Green, Black, Brown, and White) and is guaranteed not to crack, split, or decay.

Our extrusion process applies a high-quality UV-resistant PVC vinyl coating to a steel wire core. The result is a brilliant smooth finish that is unaffected by moisture and corrosive elements.

CHAIN LINK MINI MESH PRODUCTS

When maximum security and protection are required, Roma’s mini mesh fencing is the perfect solution. Mini Mesh is a high-security chain link mesh that has smaller openings through which most objects cannot pass. These same small mesh openings minimize the possibility of fingers or toes being inserted to facilitate climbing. Small openings also make it more difficult to manually cut through the mesh due to the reduced space for the cutters to operate.

Our residential tubing is protected with corrosion-resistant Galvalume™ that meets or exceeds industry standards. Galvalume™ is a steel sheet coated with an alloy consisting of approximately 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon by weight. The combined protection of zinc and aluminum provides Galvalume™ steel with up to six times the service life of conventional galvanized steel.

FULL COLOUR GALVALUME™ SYSTEM

A perfect compliment to any home, our complete chain link systems blend naturally with the surrounding landscape. Our full-colour chain link kit combines vinyl-coated fabric with a matching polyester-coated framework, fittings, and gates. In sequence, each component is chemically and mechanically cleaned, chemically extruded, rinsed, and dried prior to coating. The polyester powder is then electrostatically applied (which ensures uniform coverage) and finally cured at a high temperature. The end result is a premium product, which provides:
